Metal ladle 🥣

Problem

When I was working in a restaurant kitchen. We had to use a metal ladle for serving soup. Now the pot was designed in such a way where we had to hang the metal ladle on the inside brim of that pot. And to keep the soup hot we had to close the lid. But whenever we had to use that ladle to serve it used to be blazing hot as it was made up of single heat conductor material. We to wrap tissues around it so we won't get burned but that was a temporary solution.

Solution

1. Insulated Handle:

Redesign the ladle with an insulated handle. By adding a layer of insulating material around the handle, it will minimize the transfer of heat from the ladle to the user's hand. This will make it safer and more comfortable to handle the ladle, even when it's been in contact with hot soup or the pot.

2. Heat-Resistant Material:

Utilize heat-resistant materials in the construction of the ladle. Instead of a single heat conductor material, select materials that have better heat resistance properties, such as stainless steel with insulated handles or heat-resistant plastics. These materials will reduce the amount of heat conducted to the handle and make it more comfortable to hold.

3. Detachable Ladle Rest:

Instead of hanging the ladle on the inside brim of the pot, introduce a detachable ladle rest. This rest can be attached to the pot's handle or placed nearby, allowing the ladle to be securely held without being in direct contact with the hot pot. This way, the ladle can be easily accessed when needed, and it won't become excessively hot from the heat of the pot.

4. Ladle Holder:

Create a designated ladle holder within the pot's lid. This holder can be a small compartment or hook where the ladle can be safely placed while the lid is closed. The holder should be insulated or made of heat-resistant materials to prevent excessive heat transfer to the ladle. This way, the ladle remains easily accessible without causing discomfort or posing a burn risk.
